Characteristics
The Ilex crenata ‘Convexa’ (Japanese Ilex ‘Convexa’) is a beautiful hedge plant that resembles box-tree. This evergreen hedge plant has small, green leaves and is very winter hardy. The Japanese Ilex ‘Convexa’ has a discrete bloom and in the fall it gets little black berries. This variety is well suited for use under trees and tall shrubs, or in shady spots. The Japanese Ilex ‘Convexa’ grows in any well-drained soil.
