Rhododendron ‘Catawbiense Grandiflorum’ is a very robust and very winter hardy rhododendron. The leaves are profound green which resemble health. The growth can be called robust and this breed is therefore only suitable for larger gardens and larger groups. Well suited as background plant in a border. The plants can also well tolerate the hot midday sun. The lilac-coloured flowers have a yellow red drawing. There are also deviant types with lavender-coloured flowers. Available prevailing. The flowering period is around mid and late May.
